Probably 80% of Mira's (and Jadia's) prey is very willing. While they can, and do, overpower and swallow unwilling meals, they more often do so in a friendly fashion. Lots of sex is usually involved.
But even with willing prey like the hestan here, there is a point past which, even if their meal changes its mind, they don't. It takes some work to swallow someone as big or bigger than they are and they want their payoff. Mr. Hestan could wriggle all he wants, but it's still going to end in a burp.
As Mira once put it, "I've been nice, but now I'm going to have my meal."

Imagine that she tells him now that she wont be reforming him :)

It is not unheard of for people to ask mwee or mwee followers to eat them for good. That hasn’t happened with Mira but it could. And she did once digest someone and not reform them, but she had a really good reason and the embassy approved. The point is her boss knows about every person she eats and she’d get in trouble if she ate someone for food without embassy approval.

That’s a law abiding mwee :3 I guess this way she can gain more people’s trust and end up having more meals. And just curious, when the prey gets reformed, will it be a continuation of his/her former body (as if he had a bad dream and wake up) or a replication of a former self (former self dies, new copy created) ?

The way it works is mwee carry around complicated scanners in their bodies that scan the things they eat. Mira and company aren't big enough for the scanners so they rely on the ones in the embassy or ship. When they eat someone the prey is scanned and a Star Trek-like transporter beams a new copy into existence. Typically a "snapshop" of the prey is taken before it's eaten, so they don't have to tinker with memories. You just wake up thinking you feel asleep in the embassy, or sometimes there's no interruption at all. Lights flickering is usually the tell. If you look at the recent Mira POV story, the guy was scanned when the lights flickered and reformed with memories up to that point. He thought Mira got called away when in fact she was off digesting his previous body. In most cases they don't even tinker with memories, technically, they just reform a new you from before you were eaten.

Appreciate the detailed explanation Strega! That is very advanced technology indeed. Correct me if i am wrong but since the reformed person is a "new copy", he is not the continuation of the body that is currently being digested, which means that if you get eaten, you are not waking up, it would be a separate entity of yourself that is being created and waking up, and you (the original) are essentially dead.. right? Or a easier way to ask would be, can a copy be created while the original body is still alive?

"The original is dead" is an argument also made with regard to the transporter. The mwee's take on it is if the new you is particle for particle identical, it's still you. Mira has been eaten a bunch of times and Jadia even more. Most mwee get eaten occasionally. They use the same tech to bring people back who die via accident or injury. They have a fairly strict rule that there can be only one living copy of you at a time to avoid the "who gets to live because they are the original" argument.
