Prompt #29 for Voretober was "Elegance"! I decided to go with Isetnofret for this one, because she's the fashionista, and...Well, Jenn's cosplay-roleplay thing felt like I could work with it better than Issy for the "Role" prompt.

So this time, we have Isetnofret and Dolce Torrona together again! And...They're clashing. Music is their common ground, so they decide to settle things through that - but Dolce is a bit of a sore loser...And Isetnofret has her own way of dealing with that.

Also a bit of an experimental piece, since I wanted to see how a duet might play out when written down, especially how their character dynamics would play out. Mack the Knife was both a song that fit their styles pretty well, and since it's a murder ballad, it allows them to play off each other. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. (For quicker reference, Isetnofret is singing Frank Sinatra's part in this duet, and Dolce is singing Jimmy Buffett's part.)

And no, Issy isn't making it up; Christopher Lee has a recording of Mack the Knife. It's the original German version ("Die Moritat von Mackie Messer"), rather than the jazzy version that's been popular since Bobby Darrin's recording, but I felt like Isetnofret, being an actress herself, wouldn't have left him out.

Also FUCK this stupid fucking cat gets me so horny oh my god this was only supposed to be like 1800 words or something not counting the song lyrics but instead it's over 3700 words because FUCK me isetnofret activates pred buttons and dolce activates my prey buttons so hard now i might not be able to finish the voretober finale in time
