Demeter felt an overwhelming sense of pride well up in her chest as she surveyed the vast fields of wheat, the long grains swaying in the breeze of the Netherworld. Not too long ago this was a barren land of nothing but sands and demons, but having taken over this area within Da'at, the small Greek goddess had made sure to bring life back as best she could. Of course she couldn't accomplish all this just by herself, she had some hard working allies working behind the scenes.
“Heeeeey~ I'm baaaack Demmy...Urrrrrph!” Belched out a diminutive looking demon glad in a kimono as she sluggishly floated toward the goddess.
“Ah, I'm glad you've returned safely!” Demeter smiled as she greeted the returning Amanozako. “Did everything go well?”
“Boy did it ever...” Amanozaki loudly hiccuped, a cheeky grin on her face. It was obvious the reason for her good mood, her tiny hands proudly rubbing the enormous dangling orb of her middle. The pale blimp swayed precariously with the weakening motions of whatever was stuffed inside of it, muffled pained moans barely escaping through the fleshy walls to be heard. “Me and the girls really hit the jackpot today!”
She gestured to the group of three Moh Shuvuus that were slowly catching up to her, the young avian demons softly groaning as they struggled to haul the impossible load within their monstrously bloated stomachs. So heavy were their bellies that the glutted females just only managed to attain enough lift to fly just above the ground, their gorged middles scraping a snaking path across the dirt.
“We tricked a bunch of dummies into going along with us, thinking we'd help show them the way back.” Amanozako snickered, giving one of the moaning visages that was weakly pressing from within her sides a mean spirited poke with her finger. “Humans really are the most gullible idiots!”
As Amanozako described it, she and the Moh Shuvuus had encountered several people who had the unfortunate luck of being pulled into the Netherworld. An increasingly more common occurrence now that the two worlds were being forcibly bridged together with each passing day. So while it meant certain doom for any human to find themselves here, it certainly was a boon to any number of hungry demons looking to snag an easy meal, no matter how unassumingly small or weak those demons might have appeared.
“How wonderful!” Beamed Demeter. “I really can't thank you and the other enough. You've been a great help, especially since it's hard to get around these days!”
Though it was obvious, the youthful blonde goddess made it a point to show that she no longer had the slim and small figure she was normally known for. Instead her body had ballooned out massively, her frame now a swollen mess of adipose softness, her fattened gut alone taking up the majority of her newly added weight. It was because of her constant snacking on humans that she had to employ the services of these duplicitous demons, who more than relished the chance to gorge themselves on any hapless humans they could get their grubby hands on.
“Don't mention it. Though at this rate I might end up too tubby to fly too! Huuuuurrooopphhh! 'Scuse me~.” Amanozako giggled as she released another terrible blast of trapped pent up air.
“Humans really make for the best Magatusuhi enriched fertilizers.” Demeter smiled as she carefully waddled up to her precious stalks of wheat, gazing on them like the proud mother she was.
“Good, cuz I'll be letting off another load of it in a couple of hours.” Amanozako smirked as she lethargically made her way to join her glutted group of demonic comrades, grunting as she carried her now smoother looking boulder of a gut, her stomach quiet save for the percolating gurgles of digestion.
“I'm just tingling with excitement!” Demeter grinned after waving off Amanozako, turning her attention to the fields she was soon to cultivate. “Oh, my dear harvest, I simply cannot wait for the day when this whole world is covered with new life. I'll make sure you all grow big and strong, no matter how many sacrifices it may take~!”
