To fund an operation of larger scale, a specialist is required for the task of keeping track of the logistics. While the gem mercenary known as NCP goes about various jobs involving conflict. The Pearl known only as 'One Eye' helps ensure the bullets and weapons spent don't leave the any income in the red.

Long before the war on earth happened, NCP was given a Pearl of her own as a show of loyalty to the homeworld and its colonies. Like many Pearls in the first and second era, obedience and protocol was the requirement for a lower caste gem.

It would be during NCP's deployment on Earth once the Crystal Gems began their war would things change. As NCP was required in more front line conflict, the demand for a trusted gem was needed to help watch over the logistics of keeping the supplies for the homeworld forces NCP would deploy with. In time the stoic gem would hone in the skills required for the job, finding the use of graphs, numbers, and hard logic as the true control given in her life.

As the war waged on, stress would follow One Eye as she did her job. Resulting in the eating of gems in order to help keep her body focused at the tasks required. It would be the end and the semi-corruption of NCP would be where both One Eye and her owner would begin a personal defection from the homeworld. As both gems by this point were believed dead.

Currently One Eye manages the money gains and losses, weapon supplies, and ammo production all within the budget made from the various jobs NCP has been tasked with doing. Though these days it is said that a gem assassin under NCP's employ garners the red pearl's attention. If one ever looked closely...one could assume the company of the sapphire she hangs out with makes her smile, if only faintly.
