Quick upload of something I actually made today and not something from half a year ago, WHAT

yeaaahhhhhh tbh I promised myself I wouldn't develop a crush on Ash and that lasted, errrr less than 24 hours- yep, okie, fantastic resistance on my part. Tbh she just ticks a lot of right boxes for me, and yes I say that before we know much of her story but.... hush I like her already. Interesting design, looks to have an interesting story role too, plus she's a sweetie AND WE KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THEM DONT WE FELLAS-

back on track... whipped this up in about, an hour I want to say? Just a (mostly) cleaned sketch for now, but I do want to hopefully finish it up soon. So if that's the case, why am I sharing it now? Well for one I can't 100% say that this will be finished-up, I've been doing lots of cleaned sketches like this as of late and I've gone back to none of them nor do I honestly plan to. Secondly I've actually been confident in sharing my sketches for once in... forever, so I don't mind putting this out for the world to see I guess. Shows another part of my creation process... and a terrible start to show it off too, because I made the canvas for this smaller than usual and never freakin realized until the VERY END. Not a massive difference though, and I'll fix it up should I choose to continue this.

I'll end this one by outing myself a little, I guess. Some long-time followers might look at the style here and be all, "wow Rinny that style here looks sorta familiar". And ignoring that of course my art will have my 'style', you'd be correct! ...some of my older art pieces were honestly to this degree of quality; basically just cleaned sketches given colour and shading. I can't remember if it's still publicly viewable or not, but my first Nia drawing is the perfect example to this old way of doing things; especially if you compare the eyes on that one to the eyes here. You'll most certainly see what I'm getting at. A couple others come to mind too, but I'd rather not embarrass myself too much by bringing them back up.

Let's just say... I've come a long way in my art, and this is an odd milestone. Beforehand, I never would've shared sketches like this even in private. But now to share one with the public? It's a weird feeling. I doubt I'll be sharing sketches like this much at all, I'm basically sharing this one to hopefully kickstart a wave of Ash pred art, but to share even ONE is an unusually big deal for my dumb dorky ass.

With all the sentimental crap outta the way... we'll see if I finish this or not, but hopefully you all like the sketch anyways. It's not perfect, it's a damned sketch it's not gonna be, but hey. If you can find something about it to enjoy, that's good!
