This is the first story of what I hope to be one story for my verse each week. Starting...A couple days behind, but let's be honest, if y'all have followed me this long, you know how I am when it comes to deadlines.

This story is basically just Beatrice having a chat with Valencia, with a bit of exploration of her powers, since she doesn't really show them off much compared to, say, Kaishi. This piece is more of a dialogue than usual.

This story contains numerous callbacks to The Failed Hunt, and you should probably read that one first.
