I, hope this is the right story... I got into the habit of titling them, Newton and... and it's been hard to break in case people don't know it's the next Newton story... *shrugs*.

Anyways... when last we saw Newton, he was snatched up in familiar paws... for better or worse. This, should be the continuation... how will our mouse get out of this one.

I think the title scheme works pretty well, honestly!

And another great installment. I do enjoy the discussions of the social structure, and we see a bit more of what Newton wants.

I've been trying to, convey Newton's motivations, though to be honest, they're not very clear to him. A vague sense of wanting to find somewhere he wants to call home, chasing a feeling of safety and security he had as a youngster which, he may never find again

And without sacrificing the personhood he holds so precious.

I do hope Newton gets a decent ending, whatever it'll be.

It's gonna be very sad if he just meanders the city or wherever looking for that place he can call home only to die of old age or illness without ever finding it.

Now I'm curious how Raina and David met.

I'm trying to decide if I decided on a backstory or not... not sure it comes up in the story. I could see that part piquing your interest ^^. Maybe one day I'll decide... and do a side story in this world about that...

As good as this series is I do miss you writing about dragons. Some of your best work was the relationships between dragons and humans in your stories. I still enjoy this series as well

Once I'm done with Newton, I plan to post some more dragon-related stuff and slide back into that being the majority, likely. It's been nice to explore something different for a while, but I do have dragon ideas being scribbled down

I Would love to see Serac come back. Of all the stories you did, that series was the most incredible

It's been a while since I thought about Serac... I recall I did once have a sequel semi-planned
