This is some prime bbw shenanigans, love it! Quick question though: if our Hex Maniac is telepathically connected to her kids, how does she just lose one of them when she would be so close by? I guess shes just that forgetful.

She's not so much telepathically connected as she is able to easily read their minds if she focuses on them. Technically, she'd be able to read whatever thoughts might still be lingering in the fragmented minds of the survey team too, but if she's unaware of them she can't choose to hear their thoughts. If she keeps registering Alice as nothing but an itch, she'll never remember what happened to her lol
