With his parents negligent workaholics, the only one who has always been there for him is Gardevoir. And she'll always be there for him, always.
Commissioned by Misty Phantom, waifumon Gardevoir gets a chance to shine, and what a fun story this was. Though this also most likely has one of the most low-key brutal scenes I've ever written ^^;

You'd have to ask the commissioner. Tommy's parents actually wholly endorse him going on a journey, it's just whether they'd be willing to let Gardevoir join him.
Then again, she can't watch the house if there's no house to watch... >:D

It's so adorably sweet how Tommy and Gardevoir interact I just hope his parents don't ruin it.
I hope Gardevoir could either disobey or work around their commands if need be, cause leaving out details would probably work just fine.
Honestly how would they guess that Tommy sleeps inside of her? Let alone that Tommy enjoys it?

Hadn't thought of that, but Gardevoir can just refuse to return to her ball/ dodge the beam. Then again, she doesn't need to worry about that since it's been so long since Tommy's parents have been home, they can't remember where they left her Pokéball to begin with... and that she's hidden it so they CAN'T find it.

Then couldn't she just give Tommy her pokeball and run away with him?
If nothing else they wouldn't be able to stop her, even if pokeballs had a authentication process so only her "master" can use it, and locking Tommy out.

Plus don't all Gardevoir's pretty much look the same? Making it theoretically almost impossible to look for her in particular?

Yeah, not sure how the lore handles finding other people's Pokéballs, but as far as I know anyone can release a Pokémon from it's ball. After all, there are organizations like Team Rocket and Team Galactic that can steal and release other people's Pokémon. So there should be no problem with her join Tommy in that sense.
Her concerns are the legality of her running off with Tommy being seen as theft. Owners are typically able to tell there Pokémon apart from others of the same species, not to mention her mannerisms wouldn't be the same as others, so just replacing her isn't an option.
In any case, ending everything with a trade is the simplest solution to the entire problem for her.
