It's worse than that : she just ate a random person to free a sitting place in order to use it to seduce her crush (the possibilty he end up in her belly later is still quite high nevertheless)

Good question!
Actually, female Golden Elves need male Golden Elves to reproduce. These male Golden Elves are close in stature to an average / tall human, and are way less predatory than their female counterpart (they usually consume small preys like rodents). As the Golden Elves society is matriarchal, male Golden Elves are raised to be mild "househusbands", practicing handicrafts to produce all the needed everyday items and to be an helper to their wife during hunts or battles (BTW, an arc I would like to develop if I have the time is the argument between Lyria and her mother, Galine Shkubabee, Lord-Mother of Shilma, as Lyria is pushing for a more egalitarian access to political power for the male Golden Elves in general, and her own two brothers in particular).
So, for a female Golden Elf, a human is a risk-free love-affair, as the inter-species barreer makes reproduction and most STD transmition impossible, and Earth's Human are seen as alluringly exotic with their more outgoing and dominanating behaviour.
If you are interrested, know that contrary to what their predatory eating habits and large stature could let anyone to believe, female Golden Elves sexual behaviour is usually very tender with an important emphasis on foreplay, making them able to enjoy intimate good times with species that are not even remotely sexually compatible with them (even with the furry marsupial-like-pounch bearing hermaphroditic Ttrucilians)! ^^

BTW, yes, the male golden elves do enjoy the digestion immunity, and it plays a role in some "dating" customs (in addition of some golden elces couple being into that :-P )
