The pic title gives me an idea... since vampires die at Sunrise and are rather proud creatures, they would prefer it to the ONLY way they have to survive it, since some random guy owning a coffin would be rather suspicious in the modern era. They have buried the old feud with werewolves... and hide from the rising sun by letting there werewolf friends eat them. Sometimes it's a one way trip, sometimes the werewolf is nice enough to spit them out at night. But it's a risk they have to take since dying by sunlight is extremely painful. Dying by digestion just takes a while.
