Gwuorp~!

The last bit of movement died down with a low rumble, the soft undulations of flesh breaking away within the confines of her digestive tract, now replacing what had only minutes ago been the frantic struggling of a desperate Tarnished; The Finger Maiden had long sought a Tarnished warrior, keen to the Guidance of Grace in order to deliver her upon her journey to the Erd Tree-she had thought her search concluded, only for her hopes to be dashed after careful observation.

While at first it had seemed that the Tarnished correctly followed the path laid out by Grace before them, it wasn't long before the undead began to divert course: exploring dungeons, chasing monsters and seemingly scrounging every inch of Limgrave but for the massive derelict fortress that stood above the golden plains. That they hadn't even approached the church that lay only a brief stride from the Grave of Heroes spelt further the Tarnished's inability to recognize the golden strands pointing further north.

By the time the Tarnished had nearly wandered into the wilds of Caelid, Melina had seen enough. Whereas before, she would simply abandon her subject in favour of observing the next suitable Maidenless Tarnished-this time Melina felt differently. Aside from the understandable irritation that rose up with every failure, a second, more controlling urge welled up inside her. She felt... owed.

Driven by this outlook, it was little surprise that she made contact with the Tarnished once more; revealing herself beside them once they ceased their aimless wandering at a small church near a bridge that lead to the Weeping Peninsula. It seems along the way the warrior had acquired a berth of miscellaneous equipment, as evidenced by their haphazard appearance, of which they were currently occupied with filtering several peculiar substances into a series of flasks. Occupied such as they were, they completely failed to acknowledge Melina's arrival, even after several minutes of speech.

Further incensed by this ignorant behavior, Melina approached the distracted undead.

Returning her mind to the present, she drew her fingers lightly across the swell of her middle; both her clothes and cloak were upended by her stomach, her garb curtaining the massive display of burbling meat and newly acquired fat. It hadn't taken long for the digestion to fully set in and make quick work of the Tarnished-unable to defend against this all encompassing adversary, they rapidly ran out of stamina, and without the healing tears of a flask there was no hope of surviving more than a handful of hours.

T'was likely they hadn't even lasted that long; She hadn't kept watch over the passage of time, simply deciding to rest her aching legs as her body drew the last of the energy out of her impromptu meal. It hadn't felt as though much time had passed at all, both the sky and temperature displaying little change since the point of ingestion, yet her guts burbled happily at the deluge pressing lower into her intestines. Shaking of the notion and assuming it was just another indicator of said Tarnished uselessness, Melina rose to her feet. It was an unsteady motion, rife with discomfort as the movement excited the liquid contents of her belly, and the burden of the organ in question once again rested upon her knees and lower back.

Arching slightly into a better position, Melina took stock of the drooping mass; still large enough to discern that it housed a now former person from it's size, it had lost all other clues that conveyed such. Smooth, and with a pudgy appearance-there was little beyond the copious amounts of fat dedicated entirely to her middle that made her stand out. If not for the discarded armour, bent and broken beneath her-it would seem as if the previously imbibed Tarnished had simply vanished from existence! Nothing more than a soft belch from the lips of an enigmatic maiden.

In all essence, that wasn't far from the truth; with their form dissolved and quickly becoming one with their devourer, and their mismatched equipment-what little had been regurgitated whilst Melina reclined-strewn about in the dirt, their existence in the world was all but a fabrication-an afterthought soon vanished from the Finger Maiden's mind, even as the source of it jiggled along her waistline. Eventually, the saliva soaked fragments would be buried as the wind and passers by kicked grass and dirt over them-the remains too dissolved and damaged to even be worth looking at.

Spared further indignities from this failure of a Tarnished, Melina would allow this new weight to settle before traveling once more in search of a companion, of a Tarnished blessed by the Guidance of Grace.

Oiya! It's been a minute, yeah? Anyway, this is an image done up by GrindaViking that I got permission from them to colour (It was originally commissioned by someone else, but that information isn't available to me-so if it's someone here, just let me know and I can link you, or take it down if you prefer).

Original lines are above; I was really excited to work on these, since Melina's one of the few SoulsBorne 'waifu' I actually really adore (especially given the performance from her later in the game), and I wanted to have a chance to work on these for obvious other reasons. I think I did an okay job of it; I'll be putting on some shading when I have more time, and the background I just edited a screencap, since I don't trust my own environmental drawing skills (of which I have none).

Storywise, it's just something I did up on my phone real quick since my computer is still in need of replacement. I probably shouldn't have, since my wrists are completely fucked now-but I didn't want to just post these by themselves... Hope you enjoyed either way! Be sure to give Grinda lots of love, I REALLY appreciate them letting me have at these.
