Smokey and Rick seem to run into their share of not too smart people. They only eat a few of them.

For the record, Rick has had his rabies vaccinations. Also distemper, among others. It comes with being a rare anthro in a human world.

Anyone who works customer service will confirm that there are a staggering number of dull people out there. But if they aren't smart enough to blow their noses, they are smart enough to blow a bear or raccoon.
