Dianna found her self fighting the lions in the Shishigumi all by herself. She didn't seem to have what it takes to take on a single goon let alone a whole syndicate.
The lion taking advantage of her and having his way with her before snuffing her out so she can't say anything... since she's just a mutt he doesn't have any issue just disposing of her. Not like she's something special.... she's not a hero.

Lions are not to be underestimated. And she didn't have Louie charisma or main character plot armor, so.... rip
