Blanche doesn't quite realize the kindly old Delphox who swallowed her is of a stronger typing. The warmth and comfort of his sweltering belly lulls her to a deep, final slumber as she completely succumbs and melts away. Meanwhile, Iggy is shocked at how quickly she liquefied inside of him! It's hard to blame him, as he himself had forgotten to ask her own type before letting her enter his gullet, and even at his old age, his stomach is still very much capable!

While it's true they are both fox-like Pokemon, one is an Ice type and the other is a Fire type. If the acids have the same typing as the Pokemon itself, then Iggy's fiery acids would be super effective against an Ice type like her.

That's actual lore in Fidchell's Pokemon setting, pretty sure. There's a post about it around here somewhere, type advantages directly factor into how effective stomach acids are, so say a bug/grass Pokemon will all but instantly dissolve in a Fire/Flying Pokemon's stomach, while on the other end a Steel type Pokemon might not digest at all in the belly of a Poison type.

I looked back at an older image where a Lycanroc had trouble digesting a Lucario and saw mention of that. Lycanroc is a Rock type, which is weak to both Fighting and Steel. Lucario is both, so the digestion is not very effective. I didn't really pay much attention to the type effectiveness before.
