I make NO apologies for the bastardization of the lyrics.

Anyhow, Chip & Dale were always fighting for Gadget's attention, and well... turns out she liked them both EQUALLY... but... not in the way that they would have hoped.
The two sleuths never knew that their little inventor mouse love interest had been experimenting with Professor Nimnul's tech, but both chipmunks mysteriously disappeared one day while Monterey Jack and Zipper were away in Australia. While Gadget never really figured out how to reverse the effects of her new shrink ray, she simply decided that where her two would-be suiters were going... she wouldn't need to...
