This was one of the few times that I started drawing something without having story for the picture, or coming up with a story during the process. The result is less than satisfactory. With no clear direction, I ended up drawing and adding characters and details that doesn't seem to fit together, at least from my point of view.
The woman at the center started as my character, Moira, but I dropped the usual jewelry. Then I added the barnacles with their victims above, changing Moira's focus upwards to one of them (which actually is behind her!). Moira's hands are kept upwards since I originally imagined her dancing. The background was an empty space with too few details so I added a couple of frog monsters who were busy devouring a few more women.
Even the color-scheme changed during the process from tricolor shading to gradual shading, making especially the barnacles stand out compared to the rest.
The only thing I think I did right was the torch I came up with, the snake-themed rod with he burning coal was pure joy to make.
This are my thoughts about the picture and I have no story for this week to accompany it, but please tell me what you think, I'd love to hear from you : )

Maybe she's a sorcerer getting rid of troublemakers.

If she is, then she is very successful at it, there won't be many left to disturb her if that's the case :3

Correct. I mean, she doesn't look overly worried about the predators around her - loyal servants, protection, whatever.

The things on the top remind me of that cage scene from War of the Worlds. I love it! Just wish there was more vore that copies that scene.

No prob! And in case you want to see the scene I'm talking about for a reference, here's a vid of the scene:

Skip to around 4:08 to see the actual cage/anal vore part.

No prob! Y'know I've always found this scene really hot. And it's kinda surprising there's not alot of vore that copies it. And this isn't targeted directly at you btw. This is just in general.

Well, in spite of the troubled creative process you apparently went through, I gotta say I kinda love the finished piece! I'm a unabashed lover of 'group scenes' like this though. xD
Since this is happening at a Temple, my interpretation is that some kind of Vore Prophesy just got fulfilled, causing hungry monsters to suddenly appear and feast upon the unprepared women in the vicinity.

The funny thing about this picture is that when I beheld the finished product for the first time, my immediate thought was "This looks like a Prinny-scenario!" With a bunch of hapless women being devoured by the sudden appearance of hungry monsters, I may unconsciously have had your stories in mind when I started adding them^^

These giant barnacles really get around, don't they!?
The frog-creatures in the background seem to be enjoying their dinner and show, though I'm not sure if they're more annoyed by their dancers being culled, or by the remaining dancer panicking rather than dancing!

The barnacles are cool creatures whose habit is to surprise you when revealing their presence ;P
I'm not sure why the frogs got an annoyed look on their faces, personally,I think all frogs looks annoyed for some reason (maybe they are annoyed because their descendants evolved into more powerful creatures?). Perhaps these are annoyed because the more primitive barnacles got the ladies before them :3

Elaborate compositions are tough and I respect it.
