A visit to the Tower of Changes (long) By Strega -- Report

Uragh the feral gul embarks on a trip to visit a wizard, and meets some new friends and a new enemy in the course of his adventure.

This is the sequel to When The Ferals Meet which is in turn a sequel to One Night at Shorty's. All three are about Uragh the feral gul (wolverine).

Interesting.

With his newfound abilities he might find eating a dragon a particularly profitable endeavour, if not a single scale is passed due to his smart stomach.

It would have to be a very young dragon unless it was incapacitated somehow. And young dragons don’t tend to have gem studded scales like some older ones.

I'll admit I'd have thought the scales themselves might be of some value.

In older editions of AD&D you could make very good armor out of dragon scales, but they had to be attached to the hide still. A pile of scales coughed up or passed probably wouldn't work. Uvuzi has a bean bag made of them, though.

One recent edition of D&D says that the armor can be made of "cast off scales", though. Dragon scale male would be very good armor for Uragh but he's unlikely to have it any time soon.

Maybe one day then.

Also I didn't say initially but I appreciate the length of the story. Must've taken a fair bit of time to write up.

I wrote it over the course of three days, on the way to and at Las Vegas Furry Con. I knew where I wanted the story to go but it ended up being quite long because I wanted to explore what it is like for a feral to live in a world of mostly humans and anthros.
