This one was gonna be hard to explain to the rest of the guardians.

Of course by the time this passed Rocket’s mind he’d already accepted the ludicrous bounty and had Cosmo the spacedog halfway down his ravenous gullet. So a little late for regrets, not that he had many to begin with truth be told, he’d always wanted a piece of that lovely mongrel to himself.

Earth dogs just had a certain flavour to them, coated in the dust from dog biscuits and so well fed and looked after. And even after years in space Cosmo was no different, he (She? Maybe neutered? He’d never asked), was scrumptious and deliciously wriggly. Barking in annoyance, then frustration, and finally in abject fear and desperation as the gulps pulled them in further into the raccoon’s smelly, hostile self.

And Rocket himself only smiled, thinking about the large bounty that awaited him and the hours of lovely digestion he would inflict upon this poor pup. Sometimes it was so good to be bad.
