“Another new specimen has revealed itself. Subject L3 was created when a female colleague became tangled in a cluster of gold-colored vines. Three of these vines attached themselves to her lower back, becoming a set of prehensile tails.
With her new tails, Subject L3 could grab and entrap prey. The strength of her tails is sufficient to break bones in their grasp, and they can extend to nearly five times their original length to capture distant prey. Humans are quickly incapacitated by contact with L3’s tails, losing all energy and becoming numb.
It’s as if some force is compelling the women here to move towards the transformative catalysts without their knowing. I have asked the remaining female members of the team if they have experienced such a calling, and one admitted to feeling strange when she saw the golden vines.”
