Page 9!

A new character is revealed (finally). I had serious mental issues with deciding when and where to reveal Nem but fuck it, he's here now.

Things to note at face value here as they might not get explained in this comic given it's own plot:

- The hoodie character isn't Nem physically, that's Connor, a Human Nem is using as a Host symbiotically.

- Nem is also referred to as The Source.

- He is the reason Demons exist as he is the one who brought the Taint back to Thoria after he was enslaved and locked away in The Void.

- Charli is currently experiencing "Taint Sickness" which manifests in purple eyes and violent hallucinations (Eg. the dialogue here)

- Nem is a former Jester who was forced to perform for his abusers in The Void. A lot of his interactions reference performing and putting on a show due to PTSD and numerous other afflictions.

- Nem's true form is something I'm still designing right now.

- Most of the broader Lore basically boils down to Humans co-existing with an existential threat that has no solution (Nem) given there's no known way to actually kill/remove him given how exposed to the Taint he is. What makes him dangerous is that he's been infected to the point of god-like powers but has all the immaturity and spite for the world as anyone else in his position. He's unpredictable and hard to read, leading to comprehensive guides in-world on how to behave and what not to do if he's encountered.

- He went mad just like any other Demon when his only friend was eaten in front of him purely as a cruel joke to see how he'd react. He then became over exposed and slaughtered most of his own race (Elves) and broke out of the Void, smashing the VoidGate and leaving his kin behind.
