Vera is a representative of the world's harmony, inverse to her brother, who represents chaos. When harmony wanes, the Reshiram shifts to her Yang form, spreading her flames of passion upon the source of the imbalance. In this case, she eradicates them with her powerful stomach, and thus returns to her calm Yin form.
