Having moved to a new city and starting at a new school, Alison tries her best to fit in. However, with unnatural, jet-black hair just like her mother, it's difficult not to stand out. By contrast, Annabelle just wants her daughter to grow up happy and healthy and doesn't take too kindly to people who mistreat her precious little girl.

This was a fun story to write, and I thank MistyPhantom for the opportunity and idea. An overprotective mother and unquestioningly loving daughter, what a lovely pair they make :D
