I would go with the the 1st version, the smooth one. At times, the second version seems desynced or that the device is barely chugging along. Most noticeable during the finger pointing scene.

Why not just dabble with both? Some things lend themselves better to certain animation types. So it might be better to not limit yourself to a single style imo.
