im pretty sure i know why hannah is the way she was , peter is a shitty dad lol hannahs a bitch sure but peter is an absolutely shitty father. he arranged for his daughter to be killed replaced her with another girl

While I dont think Hannah is an angel, I did read Peters ex wife as being the only person in his family he actually cared about. He and Nicole are not pleasant people but as this is a fantasy I think the absurd cruelty is the reason it was written. Yvonne is the centerpiece. She gives Hannah a chance and probably sees herself as fair. Her being so independent but so quick to latch on to Peter as his replacement daughter, and especially the mug, just highlighted the absurdity to me.

Yvonne at least tried to have a heart to heart with her prey and I appreciate that detail. I think her revealed appreciation for her father only as a provider and nothing else solidified his justification. At the same time though should've just been stern enough to kick her out or just move to be with Nicole without her.
I at least appreciated the story and connections.
