Everyone loves talking up Primal's Eatery, saying it sells the best fast food in town. About how juicy their burgers are, how crunchy the fries, and how much fun it is to hunt their own meals without guilt of harming prey. It's really the most happening place in town.
... what they DON'T tell you are the insane prices. Sure, your standard Burger Brat and Snake Fries only costs $15 (minus tip), but once you dig around the menu options, you can find some wicked expensive stuff. The Tuna of Terror costs just under $150, and options like Fricassee Freak can run you as high as $1K.
As it turns out, animating food into fast food abominations that spit in the eye of God that you can chase, fight, and such is an expensive endeavor. The more life-like your meal, the pricier it gets. Especially if the components inherently are trickier to vivify. For example, turning fried chicken into a breaded cockatrice is pretty straightforward. Doesn't cost that much to animate. But turning burgers, hot dogs, and a dozen other menu items into a coherent, living thing?
That's way trickier.
