I was wondering why Petite-Emi's character made an appearance here! Perfectly represented, too!
Not sure about the reference, but it sure reminds me of one of your eeeeeearly comic sequences in black and white with the two guys tied to a rope!

I remember that Far Side strip. The whole collection is full of little vorish moments, but it's so well mixed in with the other bizarre humor that it doesn't stand out to the average reader.
