About his "battle-walker." Which version of War of the Worlds is being referenced? I know of three separate variations of the three-legged walker in the various adaptations and illustrated novelizations.
The walker got taken out of the story it was supposed to be in, but the basics are that it was a round cab just big enough for one person on three extendable legs that allowed it to walk over buildings. The main weapon was mounted below the cab. Sort of a cross between a HL 2 Stalker and a Protoss Colossus, with a hint of Stilt-Man thrown in. 83
Rather hilariously, after I started reading this, my iTunes started playing the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers theme, and suddenly I was imagining each of them with Power Coins. And I have a feeling that anyone who tried to inconvenience Savage or his friends probably wouldn't live long enough to try to do so again.

I read the Wiki on those and I am still confused, but I'll take your word that it's funny. 83

If you listen to the lyrics, you may understand why I found it funny.

I have never seen a single episode of that show. I do like the animal themed helmets, though.

Er, the Lyrics from the beginning, mostly.
