Hialfi in a good mood, and for a change kitted out with decent weapons. Used weapons, mind you, but still the best he's ever had.
This was a pleasant surprise. I thought I'd try doing a picture with no black contour lines at all. It took twice as long to color, but ended up looking pretty good.

Looks good. Hopefully he gets to stay in a good mood for a while.

Yeah, he looks really good. I think loosing the lines works well because of the light background. If it were of a darker shade instead, it probably wouldn't be as significant an improvement, and possibly not worth the effort.

I can tell someone has experience out in the field. Most people don't understand the use of straps and buckles IRL. Excellent display of "adventurer" equipment. But I do have one issue to raise: with his arrows so long and behind his arm reach, firing rapid shots from his bow might be quite difficult. Or is it just a hollywood myth about quivers over the non-bow holding arm's shoulder?

I realized yesterday the arrows are shorter than they should be. As for the quiver, I don't think having it there will slow his rate of fire appreciably. Human archers in some societies had the quiver crossways behind their waist, and this isn't much different.

I remember something about those Japanese female mounted archers doing that. (I could be wrong, I have only seen the show on the history channel about them once) I guess it is a matter of what you are used to.
