I haven't drawn much since my hand injury. And while I still have a lack of motivation, I decided to practice. Unsure of what to draw, I decided to snoop through my extensive card collection and see what looked good. I decided to draw one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters: Obnoxious Celtic Guardian. I figured the complexity of him would be perfect practice on various fields I tend to come up short: males, clothes, armor, and weapons. Using the card itself as a guide, I worked on this image. I could use a little fine-tuning and such, but I'm satisfied with the results. I also did a color version (which will also be up here).

Anyway, this is the fruits of my labor, the cool-looking Obnoxious Celtic Guardian. I know the card's name is "Obnoxious Celtic Guard" but they only did that so not to mix him up with other "Guardian" monsters. His true name is Obnoxious Celtic Guardian, as shown in the series. For anyone who is unfamiliar with him, he is a retrained version of the Celtic Guardian, and although he has the same stats (Level Four, 1400 ATK, 1200 DEF) he has a very useful effect (Cannot be destroyed in battle by monsters with 1900 ATK or more, although damage calculation still applies). He can be at least a decent stall monster against Beatdown-style decks. Plus he's just so cool, and I love saying his name.

Nicely done (Applauds) Say, do you have any of the Amazon cards in your collection? Other than the whole male thing, they would challenge your other difficulty areas. (Not to mention look gorgeous XD)

Yes, I do have a few Amazons. My favorite is Amazoness Swordswoman, thanks to her damage bouncing effect. I love playing both of them together; cool elf, sexy warrior babe.

Cool, I have a few Amazon cards, the Fighter, Paladin and Blowpiper, but sadly I don't have the drawing skill to put em on paper. Nor the confidence >.>

Ditto that. I could never do them justice.

Also, while we're on the subject, what type of deck to you run, if one at all?

Back before all the synchro monster cards, I had an awesome Warrior type deck. Which means lots of lovely ladies in my deck XD, not to mention Buster Blader. Hey have you ever seen the Amazoness Fighter? She might an Amazon you could draw and do wonderfully on :).
However, to answer you question, my main deck was a Warrior/Earth type deck. I also had a Fire/Water type deck and I think a Dark type deck, but I threw all my cards into ziplock bags and lost the deck combinations I had :(. I still have all my cards none the less (and there's a lot of them lol).

Heh, so I see. I mainly run a Light/Dark/Earth deck (or as I called it, an LED Deck), but I do have a handful of other attributes, usually Wind and Water. Effect monsters are quite common in my deck. I tend to combine several strategies together, as my Extra Deck shows, having 3 Fusions, 2 Synchros, and 4 Xyz's.

I have to admit, I was very annoyed when I found out the deck now had a limit (as before there was no upward limit), so I had to cut back on some of my other strategies and favorite cards (I learned that late since I had to bow out for a while due to school work and other "issues"). Now my deck's main strategy is to recycle cards, using cards like Pot of Avarice, The Transmigration Prophecy, Des Feral Imp, etc, so I can keep my options fresh.

In terms of what monsters I use, Spellcasters, Warriors, and Fairies are the most common, but Fiends, Rocks, and Dragons are also common. Probably my ace cards are: Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Valkyrion the Magna Warrior, Arkana Knight Joker, Silent Magician LV8, and Stardust Dragon.

As for my collection, its massive. I have (for the most part) categorized them by type in a large tub container. I plan to migrate them to binders, but I need to finish sorting my new cards in first (as well as get some $8 binders from Staples). The tub is heavy, due to me having thousands of cards (simply put, I love card games), so that'll take a while.

Well, that sums it up for me.

My strategy is a lot of 4 star monsters with 1700+ attack points. I also have lots of nasty effect monsters, so beware the facedowns :3
