"One Leviathan Mermaid is an angel sent from heaven, hope given flesh and blood form to rescue a man from the devil that is the crushing depths. Two Leviathans? Well, my good man, that is nothing short of Divine Will."
The sight of two of these gentle giants, in the midst of such a ferocious storms, must be one to lift the hopes of the crews of these two sinking ships. Calico and Galaya quickly come to their rescue, their enormous bodies serving as a windbreak, their ever-present gatherings of other mermaids racing in to help lift the drowning vessel back above the violent waves.
A commission for *walkingbyself, which proved to be quite a challenge given how I've never really done much with an ocean scene. It was a lovely opportunity to draw Calico again, and a great honor to draw another member of a species I created. To see other people creating their own Leviathans really touches something deep down in me. I created something that inspired them. And that's a real honor, as far as I'm concerned.
Galaya the Leviathan Mermaid belongs to *walkingbyself and was used with permission.
Calico, as well as the Leviathan Mermaid concept, were the original creations of =MukatKiKaarn
Felarya and all related concepts are the property of *Karbo

Wow, very nice Mukat.
Two levels of feeling, sereneness below the water and a torrent above the water with the two mermaids acting as a bridge for the action and emotion.
That’s also very clever how you have one mermaid right side up and the other upside down; it creates a type of rotation effect in the picture (to me, counterclockwise).
