Oh! So adorable! Looks like he could eat'cho-face'off!
This is Daku from my story "Lylend Chronicles":

-----
I doodled this into my sketch book while in between classes at my college... I got a few weird looks, so I laughed evilly at them and they ran away. Just kidding... but I really did get some odd looks!
I'm lacking a scanner, so I took a picture of this with my phone, threw the image in GIMP, and wasted a few hours figuring out how to color/shade in that god-awful program. I'm happy how it turned out though! Expect some vore-ish ones with him in the future... But I'm definitely going to have to sketch those at home. xD
Oh, and two back to back firsts! This is my first real digitally colored piece of art, made after my first vore story! Sweeeet! This week is bound to be great!
Edit: And I'm working on a version without those terrible lines... I could not get the pen tool to work in GIMP, so they are almost my original lines... threw a few filters on them to look a bit more decent, believe it or not.
As always, comments are appreciated! :3

Perhaps it's just me, but from that angle his face looks a little blunt, not like the spindle shape I'd expect of a shark. And caudal fin looks a bit like that of a tuna to me (yes I'm picky^^). But apart from that he is just like I thought he would look like, and you should win a price for this half fins half legs solution of the land shark problem.
Should you want to change something to make him more shark-like feel free to pm me, I'd be honored if I could help.

Believe it or not, I was actually using a reference for the head, so I can get the angle I wanted. http://cache2.artprintimages.com/lrg/26/2677/AMCUD00Z.jpg
I do agree the head turned out a bit wonky though! And I can totally see the Tuna fin too now! xD I'm going to have to try to fix that next time!
I'd love any help you'd like to give to fix this up a bit, and achieve a more fitting style for him. :)

I think the water reflections on your reference pic diffuesed the contours of the head. You probaply should try to find one without such complex lighting so it gets easier to see the geometry of the shark.
And since Daku is walking on the ground but his caudal fin should still look like a typical shark one, I'd recommend a caudal fin like those of tiger sharks or white-tip reef sharks. Those look well but have a shorter lower flap, so that it won't drag over the ground all the time.

Good point(s). You're right about the lighting. And I never would of thought about it, but with his tail dragging behind him like that would be rather uncomfortable! I think I'll take your advice, and use the white-tip's caudal fin for him from now on. Thanks! :D

Working with GIMP, the Pencil tool is pretty worthless. Using the Ink or Paintbrush tool works best for smoother lines. The Ink tool is especially useful for creating dynamic lines, you have to adjust the size properly of course.
Hope that helps. :P

Of course, if you're uing a mouse instead of tablet, it's always difficult to get smooth lines with GIMP. >__>

Even worse than a mouse, I'm using my notebook's built in touch-pad (a little half an inch square)... I like to tell myself it's like a tablet though even though it's no where close. xD
I'll try to play with the Ink tool a bit more next time, and look up a tutorial or two how to get the dang thing to work. In photoshop, I remember you could do all that in layer and edit your path afterward, but with this, I'm having a really hard time working with the tool. The path I created kept on deleting itself. But I don't have access to photoshop now. :/

But, at least this little project defiantly helped me learn the usefullness the overlay layer feature for shading, and I learned that the smudge tool is also an amazing tool! :D

Thanks! :3
If you think this is good, check out Ichbinich's version. It's fantastic! It even has a post-vore belly! :3
Puts this picture to shame! xD

Nonsense! I love This! He is an incredible creature, I so wish I could be swallowed up by him. ichbinich's version is also kickbutt and epic. I love both of them equally and you are a great artist! You must do more of him :) And...if you ever needed a human to eat...I c-could do it. *blush*
