Part 4 of 3! It's just beginning...

Death would have been the kindest thing to happen to these two. Oscar and Jess are alive again... and how that happened is utterly inexplicable to both of them. The world of Actura is a darker place than could ever be imagined... and now the ancient wheels are beginning to turn.

No, I' not telling you anything. Plenty of surprises in store...

Okay... Until now... this story was okay. Good, but not as good as your others so far. But now...? I like. When are we getting the next update? =3

Alas, it might be a while before they return... there are many stories to be written. But do keep your ears pricked up.

Out of professional interest, may I ask what it was you found less exciting in this tale than my others? Just so I can consider it in future. :3

I'm not really sure... Partly, I don't find giant crocodile dragons that lurk in giant ponds to be as scary/interesting as griffins. Partly... I was reading it because I like Oscar - Jess irritated me slightly to start with. (Though it shows, again, that your characters have enough personality for me to find them irritating as a character. xD)

I do agree with your point about gryphons. Dragons can never come close to the feathered ones - although i did find Volscian's quirks a lot of fun to write. He is a very fun dragon indeed.

And as for Jess... yes, i was trying to create a slight degree of hypocrisy about her. She's young, rich, quite pampered - despite her relationship with her father, how do you think she managed to get the transport for that trip? Using his name and the considerable sums of money he still resolutely gives her as an allowance, o' course. Jess hasn't really broken free. Despite her intelligence, she doesn't really understand a lot about the world.

But she'll learn. Oh, she'll learn.

And Oscar... yeah, he's an instant classic. Almost a pity he's more of a prey character - won't deny that he would make rather a hot predator. Mmm...

>_>

But yes, thank you for that. I'm keeping it all in mind. ;3

Woah... I was NOT expecting that. As always, a great read! Thanks :)

The embarassing truth is that despite all the sadism, cruelty and general horrificness I like to put into my terrible tales... having to decide that a prey character is truly dead is really, really depressing to me. To date, only one of the prey characters of my own devising has suffered genuine death.

And anyway, Oscar and Jess were too adorable to lose. ^^ And I have some fun stuff planned for them.

And no, thank YOU for the very kind comment. Glad you enjoyed!
