Darn those wizards anyway.
Fastpaw has never met a hobbit, just "halflings", which are D&D totally-not-hobbits-don't-sue-us-Tolkien-estate. (And they even replaced those with 'tieflings' in later editions). Given his usual attitude toward humanoid smaller than himself, though, Bilbo would be well advised to not fall for anything like the "There's something stuck in my teeth, could you look?" con. 83

Oh, this made me smile.
You sure don't mess with Gandalf.

Yeah, Fastpaw is going to have to cough up a hobbit, sure as shooting. All he wanted was to settle down and digest his meal, sheesh. 83

I think you managed to give Gandalf quite the Gandalfy look. He has that authorative and powerful look.

tieflings actually aren't related to halflings actually; they're just half-fiends, a mix of a race and a demon. A halfling can be a tiefling, actually, in newer editions I think.

I thought they weren't in 4E at all, but I guess they are. Not that it matters, as Fastpaw would eat a tiefling too, given the opportunity. 83

No, Tieflings replaced Gnomes in the first Players Handbook. I think Halflings were still in the Player's Handbook 1.

Sure enough. I wonder why gnomes got the axe. They were a reasonably popular race back in the day.

I personally don't like gnomes, but I think that if Wizards was going to bring in the Tieflings, then they could've brought in Aasimars in the same book.

Hey, Fastpaw did offer to give the hobbit back! Granted, said hobbit wouldn't be of much use as a burglar after that. 83

Fastpaw is my favorite. :3 He's so cute and troublemaking for little folk of all kinds.

...I read this in Ian McKellen's voice. (Not sure what Fastpaw sounds like, other than high-pitched.)

I forgot Fastpaw's <translation brackets> in this sketch, so he must be using some magical means to speak Common/English. I figure he has a churring sort of voice, given his fangs and muzzles.
