Thank you! I've probably got another two or three of these stories before I hit the end of this bizarre little plot. Glad you are enjoying it.

I wasn't sure that switching the focus to Tammer would be as interesting as Meeta and Wendy's adventures, but it seems I was concerned over nothing. It's nice that we learned a bit more about where it is that everyone has gone off to. The one way portal in explains why Wendy and Meeta haven't found their way out yet. Before this I was reasoning that they couldn't be more than a single day's travel from home, since they were only in the gum golem for one night before it was immobilized by Wendy. Back to this chapter, I can't help but wonder if the fact that Nectica's oath didn't actually include anyone besides Tammer himself is relevant. It doesn't seem like she could cause any harm from where she is now anyway. Even without the oath, in her current situation I think it would be in her best interest to help Tammer along, just out of self preservation. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the reformation later doesn't go as Nectica expects, there's no reason for me to assume she will get her original body back, she might end up a whole different species. Anyway, in summary, this is great, I can't wait for more.

I had my concerns about Tammer as the star of an installment too. A book full of untested spells and a co-star who is almost his precise opposite spiced it up. I've never done any serious writing for other people, and doing it in installments is weird because I'll spot plot holes and have to figure out how to sew them up later.

I could have sworn I'd included Tammer's friends in Nectica's oath, but looking back, sure enough, it just protects Tammer. (I guess she's sneakier than I thought.)

Haven't put any thought into how the reformation will go down, though I did toy with a "Nectica as a vixen" description for a ditched version of the seduction attempts where she shapeshifted.

I'm very happy you are still enjoying it.
