I ran across a reference to this guy again today, and decided it was about time to find out who he was. I've mentioned recently that I'm a rather poor student of philosophy, so it caught me by surprise when one part of his work seemed to tie into my blog revival post a week or so ago.
Turns out free will as a whole is pretty much just as terrifying as Omniscience is, from a certain point of view. Like when you make a choice, no matter how well justified your decision, what was actually stopping you from choosing differently? When confronted with a food you don't like, what is preventing you from deciding that you just like it after all?
If you really are free to make any decision, why do you choose to go along with the pattern you've set with your previous...
