Sharks normally close their eyes when swimming toward prey, such as a bait ball. This is a good idea...most of the time.

Based on my "When predators collide" story.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it before, but the bit about the tracking device reminded me of the brief "mystery" here http://sploid.gizmodo.com/what-the-heck-would-eat-a-9-foot-great-white-shark-1586991095

Yeah, I heard about that. The prevailing opinion is that the shark in question was eaten by a large great white.

Yeah, they linked to the update in that article. It's the most plausible explanation.

This is amazing, you should really do more stuff with such underused animals in vore. A shame we don't see more from these awesome creatures!

Pretty cool comic. I like the style you used for this.

It's funny I know what site I'm on and all, but I actually had to research Whale Sharks for college last year... For an art class... Long story.

Their throats are only about an inch wide. Cant even expand enough to fit a particularly muscular arm. They eat small fish because they have to.

Again I know where I am, and I know how dumb what I'm saying must sound here.

I'm aware of that, but with a mouth that size someone's going to dra whale shark vore eventually. Maybe it's a mutant. 83

"...fat on the whale shark's flanks"

uhh.... do whale sharks have flanks?

Strega

Would you prefer "fat on its fillets?" 83

Awesome to see some whale shark vore :D

Would this be inspired by that documentary awhile ago about 'something' having eaten a great white and catching the people monitoring said shark completely by surprise?

Strega

Just the tracking device part. The rest was due to seeing a documentary in which a whale shark swam through a bait ball and me imagining what would happen if another pred swam in from the far side.

Nice idea to do such a comic. There isn't much whale sharks around in vore scenes. Yesterday I watched Queens of Langkasua, and I thing for the big plancton eating rays. They to are good for predators in some comic like this :)

In first edition D&D manta rays had a swallow whole ability that made it easier for them to swallow players than it was for any other swallow whole pred. Either Gygax didn't know how manta rays work or he didn't care. 83

In what game are they? I have only Dragonshard from the serie.

This was the original Monster Manual from first edition Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Circa 1977 or 1978.
