When examining the many dangerous predators at the Project, some vets and staffers have a well founded reluctance to get into the same room as the animal.
One solution is the checkup room, where a partially sedated pred is placed on a table in a divided room in such a way that its hindquarters, at least, can be examined without getting too close to the pointy bits. If need be, straps are used. It is not a perfectly safe way to go about it since some preds can wriggle through any opening their head will fit through, but it's better than total sedation.
Some Project staffers take advantage of this relative safety to arrange entirely against-the-regulations liaisions. Management looks the other way as long as no one gets eaten or maimed and some preds are only too willing to cooperate.
As for how the staffer managed to handle that much fox schlong, well, there are readily available sex toys based off of certain Project preds. It's best not to inquire too closely.

Strega, your ideas are awesome. Think I could use the concept behind your Checkup Room for an object in my most recent novel? Sort of a trap for unruly shifters that don't want to listen to reason. Keeps them trapped so that the ones that do listen can "de-fang" them.

You are welcome to use the idea, but the usefulness would probably be limited when dealing with a full shape shifter that could ooze through the hole.

Mostly werewolves. Kinda thinking the only actual shifters that wind up using it are the kinky "Whip me master" types.
