> Get Edris to explain
You nod to the elf, telling her that you are willing to go once Myla wakes up. You also mention that you have another person who will likely come with you. However, you also tell her that before you leave, you really want to know what exactly she's been up to. She frowns at you.
"I already told you that I was doing something that will make things easier for us." Edris states. "You don't need to know anything else." Frustrated, you explain to her that she isn't exactly very well trusted yet. With her background, you're worried that she's either setting you up for a trap, or has done something that will get you into trouble in the long run.
"If you have to know, I got us some allies who are interested in recapturing that fortress." She finally says, frustrated. "Though the soldiers do throw a wrench into things. Do you know how many of them there are?" You shake your head. You assume that it isn't a large number. Probably somewhere between five and ten, but you decide to not tell her that just yet. You hear some shuffling behind you as Myla sits up.
"Recapture? I thought we were just grabbing some stuff from there." Myla was apparently awake through part of that conversation.
"Yeah. That's all I'm doing. I just care about some things that are stored there." Edris shrugs. "What these other guys want to do is up to them."
"You're hiding something." The beastkin glares at the elf. "And I doubt your friends are any better. Floria, I've got a bad feeling about this. I don't know why I thought bringing her along was a good idea, but right now, I know that we're gonna catch hell if we go through with this."
"I have been nothing but honest." Edris looks over towards you. "What do you two care if the fortress is taken by someone? I did this to ensure that any fights we have to do will be certain victories. I'll get my things, you can get some gold, and our friends can take the fortress. Besides, with the soldiers going for it, they might not even be able to keep it." She crosses her arms. "If this is too much for you to accept, then we can go our seperate ways. I don't need you two for this anymore. I just thought that you would want some of the reward. You can trust me on this."
You look over to Myla. "Listen, I... I'll follow you whatever you decide. But you gotta trust me when I say that I don't like this."
Looks like the choice is yours.

Nom the elf ...like she was supposed to be :v
Posted by Ethereal 9 years ago Report
As much as I like vore (and I do), Edris hasn't _actually_ betrayed us yet. I think it would be wrong at this point to do that.
Posted by LPWolfiLP 9 years ago Report
I don't like edris...so I wouldn't mind that! xD
Posted by Schpadoinkle 9 years ago Report
I agree with Myla. Besides, getting her better is far more important than helping our former lunch.
Posted by Thagrahn 9 years ago Report
Well, A certain victory sounds like a good way to train Garrett, but not sure about how the trusting the backup is.
If things go south, the solders are already on their way.
I say get Garrett, and go for it.
Posted by Ethereal 9 years ago Report
I think we need to know who the backup is. It's guaranteed to be something we won't like or Edris would just spit it out.
Posted by YesImCanadian 9 years ago Report
Didn't Edris say that we were her best shot at finding the mystery guy? If that's the case, then why is she leaving? Is it because she got information about him from her "contacts"?
I don't know if we should nom her. There's pros and cons to both.
Pro: she won't be a bother to us anymore. We lose her as our ranged unit and gain Garret.
Cons: We lose her lock pick abilities, however Myla did say she knew a bit. Her "friends" might hunt us down.
Either was works for me, as long as Floria is the one eating Edris and not Myla (nothing against her, but we need to get in some practice).
Posted by NekoYuki 9 years ago Report
I'd have to politely tell her no, because there's the risk of getting caught in the crossfire between this group and the soldiers. you've just been helping them. Best not to suddenly vilify ourself with this town.
Posted by Topazert 9 years ago Report
I think we need to our trust in her for a little longer, we'll talk while we gear up asking how many when they'll appear then tell her about Garrett.

Get Myla to pounce her with her extra boob weight and then nom the elf~

Second
Posted by PowerPigeon 9 years ago Report
Nomming her would be complete suicide right now considering we're in our knickers and she's fully armed and armoured. Not that I would want to do that anyway.
I would like for us to use this opportunity to get Edris' people and the soldiers working together to reclaim the fortress.
> Propose an allegiance between Edris' people and the soldiers to begin reconciliation of these two Malor factions, so we can focus on the mystery guy, who is the real enemy we should be focusing on from now on instead of turning against Edris and her bandit faction, who is now opposed to mystery guy.
I legit believe that to be the best, most progressive option. It gets us closer to peace in Malor and then we can form a larger army against Mystery Cloaked Nysk-Groper Guy.
Posted by PowerPigeon 9 years ago Report
This Bandit Vs. Soldier situation reminds me of the Powder Gangers vs. that starting town in Fallout New Vegas. As such I think we should make peace between the factions, and we have a good chance to do that now that we're friendly with both factions at the same time, we shouldn't squander that opportunity.
Posted by Razgriz 9 years ago Report
This sounds like a great idea. We should remove this Soldier vs Bandit situation entirely.
Posted by paltiel 9 years ago Report
This is a good idea. Let's try it.
Posted by Jondo 9 years ago Report
So... we'd be helping capture this fort for a different bandit leader. Not sure I like this idea. At the same time, Edris has had multiple opportunities to kill us since she seems to be able to sneak into our bedrooms completely unnoticed. I'd really like to know what it is she wants from that fort that is this important to her. As anti-Edris as Ive been, I kinda want to see how this plays out. Where's a save point when you need one.
Posted by DeityV 9 years ago Report
Give her an ultimatum. Remind her what her original goal with joining us is. We agreed to work together on the terms that we will both prepare to take down that hooded character. As far as I am concerned, she is simply wasting time doing things behind our back. Tell her that she is free to raid the bandit place on her own with those other bandits of hers, but that will make her an enemy of us once again. If she truly wants to take down the guy who killed her boss, she will need to follow us and do as we say. No more playing nice with her, she either becomes our enemy or she recognizes that we are the ones calling the shots.
Posted by forgreatjustice18 9 years ago Report
I think we should trust her. We have our horseman to make a quick getaway if we need to. LETS DO THIS THING!
Posted by MontyMiyagi2513 9 years ago Report
Politely decline. I personally don't like not having enough information not to mention you know you can trust Myla
Posted by Sergit 9 years ago Report
This. This plan is too risky, and we do trust Myla's judgement. We politely decline and offer to keep Edris informed on any new developments we find about the mysterious hooded man that we manage to find while she raids the fortress.
That way, we part ways with her, while still keeping her as a possible source of information/ emergency back up in some future event.
It's better than simply declaring war on her.
Posted by davidargall 9 years ago Report
No, we are not eating Edris... yet. For one thing, we have promised the captain we would not vore in the city, and Edris has been helpful, at times. So she gets to leave the room in any case.
But if somebody won't answer a question, one should assume one would not like the answer. We have got to get more details out of her.
Allies? who are they? How many? Recapture? an abandoned fort?
The idea that seems to make sense that these are troops of the enemy country. If so, we need some backstory about the two countries and why we should side with either. We have made friends with the captain, and all our friends are local. That may enough so any tie goes to the home team, but there might be grounds we don't yet know to favor the other side. So we need for Edris to explain. Now we are even less sure what to back, and Edris really needs to explain.
If Edris won't explain, or gives answers we don't like, she gets a running start and we head over to talk with the captain.
But right now we try to persuade her to talk. Point out we want to help her, but we need to know.

Gotta agree with this.
Posted by Kartomic 9 years ago Report
In a way, we can trust her I think. We essentially spared her life, and she owes us for that.
Agree to taking the fort. You never know: her allies may be interested in something other than banditry. Plus, if we help these folks, it may be the fast track to winning over more potential allies.
After Edris leaves, assure Myla that at the first sign of things getting shifty, you will but out. Inform Garrett of this as well.
Get dressed, and head into town to gear up. My vote is to find a healing spell, maybe a first aid kit (if those exist in this world).
Hey Rayen, Is Myla okay for healing spells?
Posted by Kartomic 9 years ago Report
Meant to say 'bug out'. Damn auto correct.
Posted by Rayen 9 years ago Report
Healing magic works fine on her, yeah. And we already know a healing spell. :V
Also, it is just assumed that everyone in this world carries around some basic medical stuff like bandages.
Posted by Kartomic 9 years ago Report
Oh. In that case, let's go get some biscuits!!!
Posted by Demicus 9 years ago Report
For all her flaws, Edris hasn't lied. Lets do this, get in, get out, and not start a fight we don't need. Besides, I still think Edris will be useful to us down the road as an ally.

You did this demi. You and your love of cute things.

I would like to make a witty comeback... but your avatar combined with the serious tone made me giggle for too long. :3
You win this round! ^_^
Posted by KinoTheCat 9 years ago Report
I feel like the best course of action would be to play this very cautiously. If this is a matter of recapturing the fort, let's propose setting up an alliance with the soldiers. Hell, it might even allow for the bandits to become soldiers and remove their wanted status if they have any (Though they can use their new status as leverage to still act like bandits.)
Proposing a way to bridge the gap between two factions will cause less blood shed, but I don't trust Edris and I trust Myla a bit more.
Posted by RumiBelly 9 years ago Report
We'll it's bandit vs bandit here, why does it feel like we will be eaten by whoever we don't choose?
Giver her some(very little) supplies, and tell her you have more pressing concerns. Then we go and fix Myla. (which after saying it like that I just realized we're removing a dog's dick...)
Posted by joe354 9 years ago Report
I say tag along with her but get info about back up. The worst that can happen is getting kidnap or death right?

Posted by SnipsChan 9 years ago Report
Yeah honestly- I don't trust her either.
Myla may be all potion sicknessed up, but I say trust her instincts.
She is obviously doing something terrible, and she doesnt want to tell us so we dont fight her.
Demand that she tells us everything she did.
And if she even momentarily argues, block the door, and beat the info out of her.
If she fights to the death, so be it, free food.
Posted by phantom131 9 years ago Report
Trust Edris, and go to loot the fortress. Whats the worst that could happen? <(")
Posted by YesImCanadian 9 years ago Report
So, I've been thinking for this for a while.
We have on nothing but our underwear, while Edris has armor and most likely hidden blades somewhere on her body. I would be amazed if we somehow came out on top, even with a number advantage on our side.
If we eat her now, we won't be able to move today. Even if we do manage to do faster digestion, Floria won't be in top fighting condition tomorrow. For as much as I like vore, it's not the best course of action at this moment.
After we raid the fortress, we'll have the cash we need. Not to mention that there'll be meals after we've defeated everyone.
One's everything is said and done and Edris dose betray us (for some reason), worst comes to worst we wait for the soldiers to come give us a hand.
So, to sum up everything, even though I don't like/trust Edris, we should go to the Fortress and help her. If there's time, we grab a meal to go and be on our way only after we make sure that Edris isn't going to betray us.
Posted by The-Lonely-Gamefreak 9 years ago Report
Friends? True, she says she wants to join us to find the man who killed her leader, but can we trust the party that she is bringing to the fortress? Perhaps leaving this alone might be best and let her go on her own; hell, she doesn't sound appetizing at this point. >_<
Posted by paltiel 9 years ago Report
With big risks come big rewards, or potentially a terrifying end.
Edris doesn't exactly appear to be gushing with trust, although that may be because she's planning to test us.
If we survive the fort's bandits and her "allies", then we prove ourselves to her.
If we die? Eh, we obviously amounted to nothing and would never have been able to take on mister glowing blue smarty-pants.
Do three things:
- Leave Captain Marcus a note about the third party aiming for the fort
- Ask Garrett if he would mind us practicing riding and throwing spells
- Raid the fort. Onward to adventure! (... or perhaps an ignoble death.)
Posted by Aickavon12 9 years ago Report
let's take her down. She's clearly become a liability and just leaving her to retake the fortress may put us on the bad side of the law. We're good guys with an appetite.
I suggest blocking off any escape routes, is there any way we can arm ourselves swiftly?
Posted by davidargall 9 years ago Report
Statement to Edris: Look, we want to help you, maybe all the way to taking on mr. Big, But we have got to be able to know what you are up to.
We are willing to assume you are not up to any backstabbing, but can we trust your judgement? All we really know is that you are a low level thief who ended up flat on your back when you choose the wrong side of a fight. That's not a record that inspires confidence. We have no knowledge of how well you can plan, nor whether you are reckless or cautious . We just don't know you well enough to know if you are going to take us into a deathtrap or not.
So you need to spill. We need to know your plans in order to have confidence in your plans. and we may be able to improve them too. You talk of recapturing this fort, but it's a good bet the soldiers don't want the fort, just the thieves and their loot. So we can probably attack, grab the loot, maybe turn over the prisoners and any loot that is too hot to the soldiers, and just leave the fort empty until they go away, which probably won't be long. Then we can come back with no fuss.
But what do you want the fort for? Smuggling? Fine with us. We may be able to help out. But what if it's some crazy idea of setting up some petty kingdom? We could get squashed pretty easy that way. And right now, we don't know which one it is.
So you need to unload. That way, we have the confidence to follow your plans, or to improve them. As said, we want to help, but we can't do that when we don't know what is going on.
So please give us the plan and the facts.
Posted by Razgriz 9 years ago Report
I'm agreeing with PowerPengiun - we should try and get the guards and whoever is taking this fortress to get along. Who knows? Maybe the bandits occupying the fortress could benefit from it financially as being 'mercenaries', while the soldiers get to use the fortress.
Posted by Salvec 9 years ago Report
Reluctanly agree to the help with the fortress job then ask Edris to leave so you and Myla can get ready. Once she leaves tell Myla that we're only going along with this to find out who these "allies" of hers are, if they appear to be nothing but trouble or a major threat to the town like the last bandit boss, then use Garret to warn the guards of the ambush and turn Edris back into lunch.
