For this sketch, Black Vivio requested I draw a small Aya having swallowed her cohort and in the process of swallowing her larger counterpart. Her eyes are apparently bigger than her stomach (or are they?).

What I'd like to know is how big would she become if she separated into four, stayed separate until her selves regained their missing mass, then tried recombining. Would she grow huge? Or would she just have a massive gut for awhile until she could utilize the excess calories?

I don't think they can regain their mass without eating each other, the small selves probably stay small.

Actually they can. If you go into Starcrossing's gallery and look at Aya's character sheet, she says that if they stay separated long enough and eat enough food they can regain their full mass.

Haha, tbh I've never really given this specific scenario a ton of thought. As such I don't really have an answer for you. It's definitely something I'll think about as I continue to develop Aya as a character.
