"Then suddenly I saw it. With only a slight churning to mark its rise to the surface, the thing slid into view above the dark waters. Vast, Polyphemus-like, and loathsome, it darted like a stupendous monster of nightmares to the monolith, about which it flung its gigantic scaly arms, the while it bowed its hideous head and gave vent to certain measured sounds. I think I went mad then." - Dagon by H.P. Lovecraft

Okay, so I really like the idea of doing more Lovecraft monsters, since I posted the last one. So, I drew a illustration one of the parts from Dagon.

I think, like the last one I posted, I could of done it better. Maybe the mouth or something, but it didn't look quite as scary looking as I wanted it to be. But overall, I'm happy with the end result.

So what do you guys think, should I do more? or is it not really in theme with the site? (i.e. vore and stuff). Let me know. ;P

Personally, I think this came out exceptionally well. The shading and detail of Dagon itself make a great contrast to the simple and non-shaded person before it. The scenery also adds greatly into this as well.

Look up Dark Adventure Radio Theater, by the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. They're his stories, but done as radio shows from his era, complete with fake sponsors.

Hey, look up Dark Adventure Radio Theater.
They have an episode called "Dagon: War of Worlds", which greatly expands the story, and is a tribute to Orsen Welles' War of the Worlds broadcast.
It's a sequel to Shadow Over Innsmouth, there are naval incidents in San Francisco, Maine, and the south Pacific, there's airships and Nazi submarines involved, it's probably my favorite show so far! Check it out!

And each episode comes with in-universe prop documents, like newspaper clippings, telegrams, pages from the Necronomicon, and journal entries. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M77ZHZzwOPc

Right by the King in Yellow, Dagon is one of my favorites. I just wish that a proper Dagon movie gets made
