Nice work! I like the establishment of empathy, despite the "Law of the Jungle" that Felarya demands.

Thanks. We've seen predators 'make exceptions' for individual members of prey species, but we don't usually see a predator relate to prey and then *generalise* her empathy to all sapient prey. The circumstances Niysha faced made it possible for her to do that.
