Well it's not really the words themselves but how they were used, I suppose. For example, you used some good innuendo, as when one character referring to another as a "piece of shit" unaware that she was literally on her way to becoming one.
The little quip about them becoming part of the island as fertilizer was pretty nice, and I liked the mention of how the first girl was already gone by the time the third one was eaten.

Ah, thank you. I like doing stuff like that, statements that are funny only because we, the audience, know something the characters don't.
And yeah, as for them being fertiliser, it just felt right to me you know? A: It meant they were giving back to the island they were trying to pillage from, and B: it really honed in how far they had fallen. That before, they were living, breathing people, and now they were just literal plant food.

I'm glad you liked it so much, it means something coming from you. And yeah, they weren't that well prepared at all, just a whole lot of little messups that cascade into one, massive mistake.
Although, considering the size of the beast and the ineffectiveness of their rifles, I think sticking together would just mean the dino would get its meals faster!
And yes, I do like what you like too in regards to strong and confident characters, especially when they deserve exactly what they got.

Yeah, I might've gone a bit overboard with the pain thing. A better idea would probably be a slow, bubbling oozification, aided by the lack of air inside the gut. It would feel like being melted into molten butter.

I don't think that's the case, as I don't really know who that is. Besides, I doubt I put that much thought into the character. I wrote this story in about one weekend because I was annoyed how little good dinosaur vore stories were there. So Carla was just a female prey and not much more to be honest.
