(Rereading this story for the first time since I wrote it so I can refresh myself before continuing the series.)
I'm glad I decided I needed a refresher. It's amazing how much I can forget I even wrote in two year's time. I had forgotten Tiki even existed... I remember one time I read an interview with Stan Lee and he talked about how he would be at conventions and people would come up to have him autograph a comic book and he would be like, "This looks pretty good. Did I write this?" At the time I didn't understand how you could just forget if you had written something or not, but after spending several years writing so many different things pretty much non-stop every day of your life, I totally get it now.
It's kind of funny how I remember the earlier stories in this series pretty well but I've somehow forgotten most of what happened after Mallory became a robot. Re-reading them now is almost like reading something written by a completely different author for the first time. When I got to the part where they walked into the bar I was like, "Oh wow, I'm having them recruit Vakra too?"
