The Foxgirl Next Door By LivesInAStomach -- Report

Warmth. So much warmth. Marie’s head and upper body traveled deeper and deeper into the foxgirl’s body. She could still feel the breeze outside on her legs and waist, but her upper body was so warm—and the juxtaposition of these two temperatures almost made her… want to be swallowed faster. For her whole body to be warm. The warmest she’d ever felt. But that very brief thought was quickly silenced by a sound that echoed from even deeper inside the fox. A sound that only served to snap Marie back to reality and remind her of her final destination.

Here is the follow-up to my previous story, The Dragongirl Next Door. I’d recommend reading it first, but I suppose if you’re only here for the vore, you can still get some enjoyment here.

This story might contain some darker elements that may turn away some viewers (mainly painful digestion and description of injury) so I’d read the tags just to be safe.

Marie gets to meet another one of her neighbors, although this one may not be as friendly as the dragongirl...

And here, we see the difference between fun sadistic and mean sadistic. Both are played very well!

I imagine it was really painful for Marie, which isn't fun, but it's really well written. Fran looks like she's gonna be one of those "love to hate them" characters

Okay I don't know what it is, but I felt legit terrorized, reading that. I'm more of a safe vore type of guy, but I don't dislike it when there's danger involved.
However, there's something I can't grasp, that just fully immersed me in every way possible at once, and for the first time in over a year, I felt so many emotions at once that I actually started shaking in anticipation of what will happen!
A brilliant fucking masterpiece right there!

I decided to re-read this story today and I really appreciate the difference in cruel predators; Calypso's cruelty as a prison and mistress while Fran is a predator who only saw Humans as food. But certainly my favourite part was the Aftercare, where the expected cruel Calypso is shown to have a heart and care about people despite the show that she puts on.

I really do want to see more of Calypso and Marie's friendship, especially if Marie gets a boy/girlfriend who is into Vorarephilia; that could lead to some shenanigan's!

LivesInAStomach

Posted by LivesInAStomach 3 years ago Report

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment! I'm glad you are appreciating the (very purposeful) contrast between Calypso and Fran. And yes, judging by that wonderful aftercare session, it makes you wonder how much of Calypso's sadism is real or just a show. I will definitely develop Calypso and Marie's friendship as this little series goes on.

Zolatul

Posted by Zolatul 3 years ago Report

Gotta be honest, even as a person who very much dislikes cruelty and the like in vore, well written stories this and the first chapter. I'll try and keep up with new releases to see what happens.

On a story predictions note, I personally don't feel our dragoness "friend" is being honest with anyone. Lotta small things showing contradictions in her actions like the comments about bending her deals in the previous one immediately after trying to do so by getting an early tightening...just giving very shifty vibes. Wonder how she'll develop.

LivesInAStomach

Posted by LivesInAStomach 3 years ago Report

Thank you for enjoying my stories and for leaving a comment. Mmm, your prediction is interesting—Calypso may be more than meets the eye. Marie is certainly a little suspicious too, but after having her life saved by the dragon she has lots to think about...

Zolatul

Posted by Zolatul 3 years ago Report

Didn't pick much "suspicious" up on Marie, albeit she just seemed similar to myself and I pegged her as a possible Autist or other neurodivergent stereotype due to the similar tendency to monologue in stream of consciousness thoughts like I catch myself doing often.

As for Calypso, honestly just seeing some patterns that remind me of previous experiences with certain types of people so I've got an archetype of behavior in mind that I'll be watching for, and likely unfairly judging her along the way but oh well, we'll see if my gut reaction was correct towards her once her full intentions are revealed

The main thing I find contradictory about Calypso is her treatment of Marie vs her treatment of Beatrice, and since everyone else seems to be picking up on even more inconsistencies I wonder if Beatrice actually has better living conditions than let on, even of only slightly. And a cute idea, maybe when no one but she and Beatrice knows she sometimes lets Beatrice look out her mouth to watch a movie or something? Easy to hide too, get a bowl of popcorn and if someone knocks just swallow, even if they see her swallowing they would assume it was popcorn.

LivesInAStomach

Posted by LivesInAStomach 3 years ago Report

Calypso is definitely a little mysterious! And since the discrepancies in her behavior are directly called out by Marie and are a part of the plot, I'm cautious about spoiling too much. I know this story came out a while ago, but I'm definitely still going to be working on the next installment. The ideas are already in my head, I just need to put them on the page.

ConcordantOpposition

I re-read this series the other day in between work on my Endo-rama entry. I can see the refinement in your writing after doing Voretober, but this story is still really great.

I think my favorite detail in this is how Calypso reacts to hearing Marie cry for help in Fran's belly. She goes to such lengths to terrify the human herself, but when Marie is actually in danger she is fiercely protective instead. Calypso likes to play the part of the big mean dragon with a tormented princess in her tummy, but that's all it is -- just play. Her true attitude towards Marie is more like a teasing but affectionate older sister. And Marie is just her neighbor -- Calypso's bond with the woman who's lived inside her every moment of the past four years is probably even deeper than that.

The caveat here is that this is how Calypso is *now*, and we have reason to believe she was not always this way. The obvious assumption is that living with Beatrice made her more caring. But how bad was she to begin with? All sass and no heart, but ultimately harmless? Or was she a true predator who ate and digested people on the regular?

As to the origin of Beatrice and Calypso's relationship, my theory is that Beatrice is the "other girl" that Calypso alludes to. The kingdom is the apartment complex, the stuff about the king and the far away land is BS Calypso added for dramatic effect. In truth, Beatrice offered herself to Calypso as a sacrifice to divert all of the bullying onto herself, sparing everyone else in the apartment from Calypso's fickle wrath. Living in such intimate conditions for years they developed the strange friendship they have today, and the necessity of caring for Beatrice in her stomach made Calypso mellow out and even develop a motherly side. The only thing not accounted for is the weird language, so I'm going to guess that it's the native tongue of dragons and Beatrice learned it so she could speak with Calypso privately at any time. Beatrice actually knows Common, but as Marie experienced in her encounter with Fran, when you're in a stomach it's hard to hear anyone besides the owner of said stomach.

LivesInAStomach

Thank you so much for leaving such a detailed comment! It's always a nice feeling to hear people talk about my work at such lengths... plus, I'm actually happy that you feel as though my writing has improved since the publishing of this story. That just means I'm doing something right! And maybe it just shows how long its been since we've visited this world, heh...

Calypso definitely has some hidden depth to her character, and Marie is picking up on this as well. Her past is still a mystery, and in regards to Beatrice... well, she's even *more* of a mystery since we can't rely on the primary source, only Calypso's retelling.

Your theory is very interesting! Of course, I can't tell you whether you're right or wrong, cause that's a story that still needs to be told. After this contest gets wrapped up, I'll *finally* be working on the next chapter; introducing a new monstergirl, though of course Calypso will rear her teasing head.

Good luck on your entry, by the way!

I remember reading the first part of this serise and well I just didn't like Calypso, I couldn't find a mark for her character and well the playful sadist wasn't winning any prizes in my book. (I do like the more.... nicer side of things that anything outside the sorta soften up experince is outside my area of comfort) But you do write some stories that I can't stop reading at times so I just have to know the ending and well seeing more of the dragon girl I'm not sure where to place my opinion of her. clearly she isn't as bad as she is and well she's honestly more mean for the fun of getting a kneejerk reaction rather than just for the kicks. like Fran.

I'm kind of interested where things will go but also not sure if I want to keep reading onward this is a very conflicting set of emotions.

So I guess when the next part comes out I'll just decide how I want to tackle it. At least I'm getting a bit more of a understanding that the dragon girl isn't as outright mean as she is just cartoon villiny for whatever joys is brings the dragoness.

Hey, I don't know if you still read the comments on posts this old, but I hope you do, because I want to hear your reaction to this.

This story is genuinely kinda therapeutic to me. This may sound odd, but unwilling/cruelty/fatal vore stuff genuinely gives me anywhere from moderate anxiety to full-on panic attacks, because it strongly reminds me of trauma I've gone through in the past. It's a long story, but it involves a lot of experiences with helplessness and betrayal from friends and strangers alike.

One thing in particular that gets to me the most in that stuff is when the prey screams for help, and yet no one even tries to help. That shit downright terrifies me and triggers my anxiety and panic more than most things in the darker side of vore. The fact that this is what happens in the overwhelming majority of unwilling vore content makes it, to my trauma thoughts, feel more like this is how helpless I'd be in a deadly situation.

So to see a beloved and well-crafted vore story, where the prey's cries for help are actually received *and* they are actually rescued? It's genuinely so relieving. It's reassuring. It's inspiring. It's therapeutic. It tells the traumatized part of my brain: "maybe I wouldn't be so helpless after all." It helps soothe the traumatized part of my brain just that little bit more, which, for me, is actually worth a lot.

I wanted to share this with you, in the hopes that it helps you feel like you've done something amazing for someone by making this story.

LivesInAStomach

Posted by LivesInAStomach 4 days ago Report

I read every comment I receive, don't worry. And... yours has left me without words. In a good way! A really enlightening, heart-warming, reflective way.

I'm so happy that my story could produce such positive effects for you. And now that you mention it, I realize it is very rare for a story to go in this direction. To have the unwilling prey actually escape. It's been so long since I've written this that I can't remember my intention for writing it that way. I think I wanted Marie to experience something frightening, but I needed her to stick around so that she can continue being the main character. And I needed Calypso's hidden soft side to be revealed, so that she can give aftercare (and I love aftercare in vore, so I think that was the biggest motivator).

Thank you so much for sharing your personal feelings regarding my story, it really means a lot. You've inspired me, as well. I think I want to write more stories like this, where the prey can escape through the help of others.
