The winner of last month's poll. Syrene is a pop star from the same "Voremones" alternate Earth as Katie Sue. As shown by the fact that Syrene can perform on stage with a belly full of several groupies, in most developed nations, predators are legally allowed to eat people provided a few factors are taken into account.

For example, in the United States, public consumption of unwilling prey is against the law, but even assuming someone calls the cops, which is not guaranteed to happen, such acts are unlikely to result in any punishment much worse than a fine and court mandated therapy, plus maybe some community service. In most such cases, the offending predator will also be forced to disgorge their prey if they are not yet digested.

However, public consumption of willing prey is legal stateside, as is the private consumption of unwilling prey, though in the latter case, the issue of how the predator gets her prey into such a space must be considered. Breaking into a strangers house to eat them would still get a predator charged for breaking and entering, and, while the consumption itself can't be prosecuted in such circumstances, if the predator did manage to consume someone there and the prey died before arrest, most judges are likely to give a harsher punishment for what the predator is being charged for.

This is not to say predators don't face persecution. Anti-predator hate groups are fairly widespread, and in some more totalitarian nations, predators are either killed or drafted into government service upon discovery.

Back to Syrene, she's a Korean-American woman in her early twenties. In addition to singing, she also plays the violin and keyboards. Though her music is most popular in the United States, Syrene has a fanbase through much of Europe and East Asia. It's also worth note that while a disproportionate number of her fans are fellow predators, the vast majority of her fans are normal people, and while some of her more hardcore fans would be quite willing to be eaten by her given the opportunity, most of them just like her music and have no desire to be eaten themselves.
