Slow Process (Gore Warning) By Mouhr -- Report

The first thing that hit her was the heat. It was an oppressive kind of heat. Heavy and humid, it felt like it was pushing down on her. She looked around, wobbling a bit as she struggled to keep her balance. The soft tissue serving as both the floor and walls gave a bit under her weight. She felt dizzy and sat down, taken slightly aback by the wetness. Taking a deep breath she tried to process what had happened. It was all blending together and still... Every feeling was still so vivid. The fear, laced with excitement as she had landed in the mouth. The excitement all but disappearing once she got to the throat and the unbridled confusion from the swallow and the way down.

After what felt like an eternity, she took another deep breath: She had to get out of here.

But as she started moving her body, she felt the burn. Reflexively pulling up her arms in pain, she took a concerned look at her body. The concern quickly turned to horror as she saw what had happened. The process of digestion was already in full swing.

As it turns out, I haven't done a proper internal in a whole year! I honestly don't know how I went that long without noticing it.

Ever since my 'Cruel Fate' drawing, I wanted to try a more melty approach to digestion, so that's what I did here. I also tried to improve the look of the liquids, especially the pool of acid. I always felt like I left them really plain and nondescript. I attempted to fix that with bubbles, adding ripples across the surface and giving the girl a reflection. I think it came out pretty decent! I also feel like I improved on the wet look of the shirt, quite satisfied with how it came out this time.

Hmm, not really for me, but I think you did a good job regardless. The peeling skin, the churning acid, the fear. I would say an improvement for the liquid would be to add waves and stuff, since the walls would be fluctuating and churning to speed up digestion, but still.

That's true, waves might make an improvement. Thanks!

The thicker the fluid the less the ripples so given that goop is hanging off her arm the absence of ripples makes sense.

I second that! Adding movement would definitely help make the stomach feel alive (which it is!) ^^
Although it's jjjuuust above my personal enjoyment in terms of gore, the melting is really good. same goes for the wetness!

On a side note, I noticed her reflection which is also a nice detail, but I can't help but wonder if stomach acid is clean enough to reflect light, especially in a dark stomach? ^^

Since you second the idea of movement, I'll see about adding that the next time I do an internal.
And, I assume stomach acid's cleanliness heavily depends on what was eaten and how long ago. Besides, these kinds of internals already take huge artistic liberties with the depiction of a stomach, that I feel like a reflection isn't too far-fetched.

Thank you for your feedback on this, I always look forward to seeing your comments, they're very constructive!

I love this kind of digestion drawing, any plans to do this kind of internal as an x-ray?

Mouhr

I haven't done that before, it might be fun to draw! I'll be sure to write it down as an idea. Thank you for the suggestion!

Ill be honest...i wana here the beginning of that story! ÓwÒ

But honest question, did you make the reflection by distorting a low opacity copy of the girl? Just curious cuz i like to study good art to try and improve my own.

If I was a better writer, I'd love to make longer stories lol.
And yes, that's pretty much what I did for the reflection. I left it at 7% opacity.Though I also put the layer into 'Add' mode. It helped it look more like a reflection rather than like it was just pasted onto the liquid.
I hope that explains it well enough, I'm always glad to answer any question about how I make my art.

Very good! This strikes the balance I prefer between showing the painful melting of digestion without being too gorey to distract from the vorish aspect of it.
