I've been having some interesting conversations with BaronFV from DeviantArt about the world of How Not To Become Lunch. We were discussing the climax of #60. He pointed out that a lot of what Arthur said about humans and their place in the world was true, and we got onto the subject of what exactly motivated Jack to lash out. I replied by elaborating on how it wasn't so much Arthur's literal statements about humans that got under Jack's skin, or even really his implications about the potentials or "natural purpose" of humanity- not for the most part, anyway. It was Arthur's attack on the relationship between preds and humans, the assertion that there couldn't be any real positive relationship, very much including Jack and Fiona's. That strike at the legitimacy of Jack's friendship with Fiona is what he really couldn't stand. He'd fought too hard to keep that friendship alive to see it fouled like that.

Well, a few days later, he sent me this. He made it over the course of 20 minutes with absolutely no intention of publishing it. But I really thought it was funny, that it captured the point really well, and that the lack of effort was part of its charm. I showed it to HNTBL co-creator  x9comega and they loved it too, so we asked if we could post it to share with all of you. I think this is the first fanart we've ever received! Which is just a really cool thing to be able to say. Hope you guys enjoy it too.
