I really love this series!
Granted i'm a little biased because i love vulpera (and they don't get nearly enough love in return, generally) and i love smaller preds, but this is great also because of the way it really hammers in the fact that the prey is going to digest and be gone. I dunno, something about how proud Vicky is about stripping and swallowing her meal, and how much she enjoys that the human will be digesting inside her soon, is really hot. You just conveyed that well is all :D
And now i'm invested and looking forward to seeing what happens next with the guards...
