A Report on the Wrangler Herd by John Wolfe
Idea of Homo Familiaris originates in WolfSnack's Graduation series. Do check their work out.

A follow-up to some characters mentioned at the end of Grand Escape.

Hey -- if you're going to have your character discuss a concept originating in my Graduation universe (the idea of Homo familiaris as a long-term domestication of humans), please link back to my original Homo familiaris document in the description of your story :)
It'll help people understand the context for what you're talking about, while also not (accidentally, I'm sure) implying that it's something you came up with yourself.

Right. Just made a quick edit. Link is now there.
Personally, I plan on making a sequel to this where John Wolfe is at a party mentioned, talking to this series in-universe researcher - a vampire - on their version of Homo familiaris, and explaining to them the flaw in their theory on the difference between the two subraces, while, as part of an experiment, Roberta Wrangler takes on a werewolf that likes to poach/illegally procure feral humans, delivering some rather brutal Feral Justice, as said werewolf had illegally taken her niece off of the Park - after all, the Park has a strict No Hunting policy.

I guess you could say that the idea was to write a story where the Truth isn't what actually happened.
